Confederations Cup 2013

FIFA announced the groups for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
The result of the drawing was following:

Group A: Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and Japan
Group B: Spain, Tahiti, Uruguay, and the winner of the 2013 African Cup of Nations

FIFA made sure that the two nations from South America and Europe were not paired with each other. It is obvious that it is going to be a hard tournament for Japan. Although some media have said that the Confederations Cup is a rehearsal for the World Cup, the coaches of the seven national teams are taking this competitions seriously, and they also said that it is going to be really competitive. Japan's Italian coach Alberto Zaccheroni said, "It'll be the first time I've faced Italy and I just can't picture it at the moment, though I'm pretty sure it won't be your average game. The important thing is to go and get a result. That's out number one objective." I think this is going to be really interesting tournament!!

The game remained tied until the 88th minutes of the game. The samurais surprised France with the counterattacking charge in the 89th minutes and compound the misery, as France slipped up at home for the first time since 2010.

Takashi Inui surprises the defending champion.

Dortmund played against Frankfurt on tuesday. The score was 3-3; the defending champions took the lead twice but could not close out victory against Germany's second-placed side. I am posting this because the man of mach was a Japanese player, Takashi Inui, who scored a goal in this game and he has scored 3 goals and 2 assists in last 5 games. Now he is considered as one of the best midfielder in the league. Keep an eye on this little Japanese playmaker!!
